Shipping Info

The Urban Worm Company ships via both courier services like the USPS, UPS, and FedEx as well as less-than-truckload and full-truckload freight companies.

Our prices cover shipping in the lower 48 US states for all products except full truckloads of worm castings and biochar. Add-on charges may apply for freight if you need a liftgate at your location.

While we reserve the right to select the most economical means of shipping, we typically ship our products in the following manner:

Worms

USPS Priority in almost all cases. Worms are normally shipped on Mondays and Tuesdays and will always arrive separately from other ordered items.

We also reserve the right to delay shipment duing extreme weather events either at the origin or the destination.

Urban Worm Bags and Vermicomposting Supplies

USPS and FedEx. These items will ship 1-2 business days after receipt for the order. Orders with multiple items may arrive separately.

Bulk Worm Castings and Biochar (Less Than Truckload)

These items will arrive in palletized super sacks via LTL freight and will ship between 2 and 7 days after you place your order. We will need you to confirm your phone number and your need for a liftgate at checkout. These are delivered via less-than-truckload freight carriers. Please note: We have very little control over the delivery process. Residential customers should not expect the pallet to be delivered anywhere but streetside.

Bulk Worm Castings and Biochar (Full Truckload)

Truckload quantities will be delivered via freight carriers. You must have offload capability or a commercial loading dock in order to accept delivery.
