The Urban Worm Bag is built with 900D oxford fabric lined with a water-resistant, but breathable liner. It features marine-grade zippers on the top and bottom to allow for easy feeding and harvesting as well as a lightweight iron frame that will not bend or droop under a full load. The “overseam” stitching is reinforced and will not tear at the seams, even under the stress of 120+ pounds of vermicompost.

The easy way to screen your castings! The 1/4-in mesh saves time harvesting worm castings without tedious manual sorting and the 1/8-in insert captures cocoons and allows for very fine screening of castings.

Each screener is made from white pine and the interior screener box easily rolls inside the frame on casters.

The frame is built to sit perfectly inside a small 28-in x 20-in mortar tray and each unit is sanded to remove splinters and abrasive surfaces.

Red Wigglers, aka eisenia fetida are the most common composting worms as they can tolerate the greatest range of environmental conditions.
