Pure Red Wiggler Composting Worms

These are pure red wigglers and we can ship anywhere in the lower 48 states with a live guarantee for no extra charge.

Red Wigglers, aka Eisenia fetida are the most prolific composting worm on the market and are suitable to the widest range of climactic conditions.

Red wigglers can survive in vermicompost ranging from 45°F through 95°F although they will do the best closest to 75°F. Even if the outdoor temperatures are outside this range, the temperatures *inside* your vermicompost are what matters.

Expect 800 to 1000 adult red wigglers per pound!

Note: If your order is received by 5PM on Friday, it should ship on the following Monday thru Wednesday.

Our terms and conditions are very reasonable, but you should check to make sure before purchase!

    Worms for hire

To start USPS held my worms hostage for almost 5 days. Which was driving me crazy. I could tell they went through the contents in the box(worm chow was open)But finally the worms arrived unharmed and still wiggling. They’re doing great eating a lot! I must say I’m definitely a worm guy now! I love watching them destroy watermelon. I’m starting a small farm in Malibu so my worm operation will definitely be expanding with the growth of the farm. Thanks Steve

    Met Expectations

From the website, tutorials, texts, written information and phone calls, Urban Worm Company (with Steve at the helm) always responds & never disappoints! Our bundle of worms (1 pound) arrived according to plan. The Urban Worm Bag, set up about 10 days prior to receiving our Red Wiggler “working-worms” (we set-up the worm’s environment. according to Urban Worm Company) two-weeks prior to must have been acceptable to our work crop as all the good little Pure Red Wigglers went right to work by making their way into the comfort of their warm, decomposing environment. No worm has tried to escape (that we know of). To check on these babyfledglings, bedding must be disturbed to expose Red Wigglers. Per Urban Worm Company’s graphics and conversation surrounding we’re assuming the gang is doing exactly as planned since the odor, moisture, temperature seem lined up for success. Now we are patiently waiting to add more compostable matter to the bin as our worms have SO MUCH to nibble on. We’re slowly adding “green matter,” in proportion to the “brown matter,” and tomorrow we’ll scatter crushed eggshell and ever-so-gently, “fold” them” into the bedding for grit. Did you know worms have no teeth and need to imbibe grit to aid in their digestion.
